I haven't been into Loehmann's in a long time, but I have had a growing fascination with all the discount merchants, and so I thought I'd have a look see yesterday. And I must say, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Loehmann's which used to be where out of date Seven jeans went to die, has now become a high end rival to the much beloved Century 21. On the first floor I found some fantastic shoes, from my fave L.A.M.B. to some fantastic Prada pumps. On the second floor, I was in Vince heaven, and found a fantastic French Connection strapless dress for nearly 70% off. But when I hit the third floor, that's when I knew that Loehmann's has finally come through with the goods. There was a plethora of Marc Jacobs, Elie Tahari, and Helmut lang. And as I was rummaging and hunting, the sky opened up and the angels sang when I saw their healthy sized Elizabeth and James section. Now, I am as surprised as anyone that I have become such a huge fan of a fashion house founded by the Olsen twins, but the fact is, they're all grows up and very much appeal to my sensibility. I saw the items which are pictured above, as well as a selection of blazers, black silk dresses, and mini skirts all for around 60% off the original prices. My absolute fave was the creme silk ruffle dress with the black asymmetrical elasticated strap. Gorgeous! I will now have to be making Loehmann's a regular haunt.

Great blog, love the looks picked out. Too bad I always get anxiety everytime I step into one of those giant department stores, because I feel they are secretly filled with treasures.
