I've struck gold!

Vintage baby....it's all about vintage...
...This is, of course, nothing new.  Post war fashion has all been about rehashing the past. Many a successful designer has based their career on vintage inspired pieces (read Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui), and currently there has been a strong showing on the runways of silhouettes from the 30's through the 50's. High waists, lace, beading, floral patterns, it's all there. Glamour is back. The beauty of the vintage look is that a girl can enjoy being a lady, whilst asserting her individuality by layering all those wonderful texturized textiles.
Of course, you can have the designer of the day pull the best from the past, give it a sprucing up, and present it for you in a nice (and expensive) package...or you can go rooting around for your own unique finds. Generally that involves many back breaking hours sifting through racks that make your hands feel dirty and usually smell kinda funny. Or you can go to Monster Vintage online, and do the sifting with a few easy clicks. The great part is that the prices are definitely reasonable, and the stock is stylish.
Take a look at some of my fav's.
