Trend watch....Tux

Bond, James Bond...
yes, it's time to hit the casino, because tux inspired clothes have officially saturated the market. The trend has been on the runways for several seasons now, but at this point it almost seems an obligatory element in womenswear.
The fantastic thing is that it's not being taken too literally. It can be just the bib front of a tux shirt added to a dress, or satin trim on the side of your pants, or perhaps just a great waistcoat. Have fun with it!  Don't over do it....no need to dress like a man at a wedding, but adding one piece to an outfit that is already making a statement (punky or girly, it can work) will give you an edge. Think Jennifer beals in Flash Dance...how hot was that?

Tuxedo is, of course, course N.Y. slang for dinner jacket.

Where do you stand on the Canadian tuxedo (jeans with a jean jacket)?

hahaha...
whereas there is a lot I admire about the canadians (universal healthcare, anyone?)...I would not recommend the denim on denim look. But hey, that's just my opinion.
