Another New York Party...

I get invited to the oddest things...

The occasion was Christopher Coffee's birthday, and the celebrity host was Richie Rich....so, of course I had to go. Hey, I've been to the Heatherette shows in Bryant Park, and they are always a step or five above and beyond. I figured, what the hey, last week I had half naked burlesque girls feeding me candy...what's a little more sugar?

This time though, when I walked into Johnny Utah's in my queen-friendly 5 1/2 inch platform heels, I was confronted with a rather hetero situation: a country western bar in the middle of Manhattan...complete with mechanical bull.

I'd say 'only in New York'....but I suppose this sort of thing is commonplace in the western states.

It was an OK night...the free drinks were hideous...always some new cocktail concoction...but this time too sweet even for my tastes. It was great to meet Richie (see below)...and definitely fun to see countless people get thrown off that bull (see above...birthday boy). And frankly, I got better schwag at this dudes party than I'd get at my own birthday party. Bonus.

The best part of the night though, was that a guy told me that he was hitting on me because of my shoes. "they were the first thing I noticed about you". Well, this is a fashion blog after all, so I guess it's appropriate. They were L.A.M.B. 'Gem' pumps. So hot...so painfull...so worth it.
Oh, and as we were walking in, a film crew was interviewing a couple of rappers... least they seemed to be talking about albums 'dropping' , so I assume they are in the biz. Can someone tell me who they are? I'm a fashion gal, not a rap gal...I spent lunch last Sunday with Kanye West, and didn't even know it was him. Sorry Kanye, I thought you were very nice tho.
