Sure, eBay is great for designer duds...but you'll be competing with other fashionistas for them, and you'll pay the price of items in great demand.
Are we neglecting that eBay is also great for lost treasures?
I think you can really individualize an outfit with a one of a kind vintage piece of jewelry. Add character and contrast your punky or sporty duds with a ladylike brooch.
The best part is that these things are still highly affordable on eBay. You can get a great brooch for $5, whereas even at New York Flea markets vintage pins start at $30. Just type in 'Vintage Jewelry' into your search.
The pics are my recent conquests, shot on a heathered grey t-shirt, which I think is a lovely contrasty pairing.
