Heike Jarick

Last year I was working on an editorial shoot for ZOOZOOM, when I discovered designer Heike Jarick, and I immediately fell for her sexy modernity. Her fabrics are often luxe knits, space age metallics, and beautifully toned skins (such as snake and eel). Her silhouettes play around with modern shapes without forgetting to drape and hug the female form.  The solid neutral colors of her fabrics invoke the feeling of a cool streamlined future that is emphasized by the geometric draping and expert tailoring of every fold of her garments.
And why do you care? Because she just emailed me to say that her online store is now open. So yeah, if you want a unique piece...if you want to stand out in a crowd whilst somehow remaining cool, subtle, sophisticated, sexy, and modern..well, then you know what to do:
I pulled these pics off her site, as they are my faves in her current collection...but there are plenty more to choose from.

And below is a swipe from the story I Fashion Edited for ZOOZOOM. The pic on the right features a Hieke Jarick turquise snake skin short sleeve jacket. It was absolutely amazing in person...and really cute with everything.
