Wow, the very day my Richard Chai for Target purchases arrive in the mail (there are some damn good pieces in there, BTW), the blog-sphere is a-buzz with word that Thakoon Panichgul is confirmed to release a line for Target this December.
I am beside myself on this one...I just love Thakoon. His style is sweet yet modern with mixes of deconstructed silhouettes, contrasting textures, and details detail details. Panichgul is inventive and edges towards avant-garde, teetering on that line, whilst always staying on the side of good taste. This one is gonna be really great peeps...get ready!
God knows what the deal is with all the other Target rumors. I still hold out hope for Jonathan Saunders, but my guess is that McQueen won't materialize (cuz seriously, as if he needs the exposure??).
So, just to get you salivating, I have provided pics from Thakoons Spring 09 collection and Fall 08. mmmmmmmmm
