Jonathan Saunders for Target

Well, Richard Chai for Target is already on clearance, and our eyes have been set towards the next guest designer to hit the racks.  This whole thing has become an insatiable beast...or maybe it's just me. I swear I just binged on dresses and cardigans with RC, am I ready for more? I must be, because this little sneak peak already has me captivated.
Yeah, I've noticed that comments on the internet are less than impressed with the line, but don't blame Jonathan, blame the web photography. It turns out that my favorite Richard Chai for Target dress I did not order off the internet because the picture made it look frumpy. It was only when I found it in the store and tried it on that I realized it would be one of my favorite dresses in my closet.
So let's look at the potential in these pics, shall we? The splashes of color are fresh, the silhouettes are sexy, and is that brown leather edging on that jacket? yum. I just want to know if they are going to sell those fabulous bright colored belts?
The line is due out in October...between this and the opening of Topshop in NYC, I'd say it's time to start saving.

Hmmm, there's a few things I might actually covet! I like the purple gradient tunic-y thing, particularly...

PS - Do you know the date for the opening of TopShop? I hope it's before the end of OCTOBER.

PPS - the blog is looking REALLY great!

Topshop Opens October 11th. First day will be mayhem, I expect.
I covet a few things too. The dress with the multicolor panel in front and the black sleeves looks like it will be fab.
And yeah, I bet you'd totally rock that purple tunic!

Target will open four "bullseye bodega" pop-up shops in Manhattan next month in midtown, Union Square, Soho, and the East Village on September 11. The shops will showcase Target's new diffusion lines including Jonathan Saunders's apparel collection, Anya Hindmarch's handbags, and Sigerson Morrison's shoe collection. Woo hoo! Sayonara, shipping fees!

Wow, thanks for the heads up! I'll have to keep my eyes out for those stores, since the Target in Brooklyn is usually completely picked over.
