I just discovered Factory by Erik Hart, and I love

I was just doing research for an upcoming editorial shoot, when an associate of mine suggested that I take a look at Erik Hart. I was immediately drawn to the modern graphic nature of his work, and the oh-so-current casual edginess. I did my homework and discovered that he used to design for Morphine Generation, another edgy brand that I have been a fan of.
In 2008 he launched his eponymous line of graphic dark and luxurious clothes (pictured above, from his website). I love the tailoring combined with the buttery leather. So, of course I delved further to discover that he has just launched Factory by Erik Hart, a more affordable RTW line that has just as much edge and creativity at price points ranging from $65 to $200.
This line is genius because you can go minimalist and clean, if you like, or layer it up for a downtown look. Wear a body con dress with some killer heels, or go ahead and throw on a pair of boots and a blazer.
Factory by Erik Hart Spring 2010 is currently available at Revolve Clothing, Cry Wolf, and OAK.
This line hits so many trends on the mark it's hard to count: black/white, body-con bandage dress, sheer fabrics, graphics, loose t-shirts, edgy prints, grey, boyfriend jackets...really, you can't go wrong here. I absolutely adore this look.
Now, I shall have to plead with Kelly Cutrone at Peoples Rev to lend me some looks... *sigh* wish me luck!

Totally love the look. Too bad I spend my life in shorts and T-shirts.
